Yesterday I met up with Claudia and we tried to visit the Dalí exhibition but the queue was over an hour long! We decided to come back late on a week day when it would be less busy, and went shopping instead! Afterwards I went to an exhibition nearby at the Russian Tea room Gallery featuring several Russian photographers. It was called ‘Corps Révélés’ and was very small – I was the only person there! A woman welcomed me with a sheet and all the pricing information on it. The pictures were like €5000 and over – I dont know if she thought I was some serious photographer or what! It was all black and white photography, these are some of the artists Antanas SUTKUS, Igor MOUKHIN, Dasha YASTREBOVA. I went for drinks in the evening with some friends.
Today I had one lesson of teaching with the younger kids. They had to ask me questions to find out if I was a ‘perfect girl’ or not. And apparently, as I make my bed every morning and clear the table after dinner I am! Afterwards I decided to walk around the area a bit down towards Saint Lazare, I had lunch near a huge church which was under restoration but it was very very cold indeed. I went to a museum nearby called Musée national Gustave Moreau which was the private apartment of the symbolist painter Gustave Moreau. It held some magnificent paintings mainly of greek mythology and biblical scenes. It was an impressive collection and the walls were crowded with these huge paintings!
